Afternoon Tea & Coffee bokning

Sunday Special: Afternoon Tea & Afternoon Coffee Every Sunday we serve classic afternoon tea. It is served with various goodies baked by us from scratch such as canapés, scones; butter, jam & cheese, various cakes and pastries and each jug with either coffee or tea and a glass of juice. It is served between 11am and 4pm and can be booked in advance. Each session lasts for 2 hours. Photos from inside our cafe Between October 2022 and April 2023, the cafe underwent a major renovation and we brought back the antique style that the first part of the store offers. Welcome to classical music and let the coffee drinker walk through the café. Our Front Room Here the walls are adorned by a Zoégas exhibition with both photos and historical texts... *Various Antique Themes... * There are four different departments in the café anteroom, the fine room, the expedition room and the balcony. Our front room is green with gold details and high ceilings with stucco. *The cafe was inspired by... * From the antique original painting found on the ceiling in the shop area. The painting became the perfect basis to start and color the cafe. The balcony Overlooking the retail area and the brass grinders, four people get space to drink good coffee on our balcony. The Expedition Room Inspired by the book Welcome to the Tropics written by Rudolf Zoéga published in 1960. In the book you get an insight into coffee trips, expeditions and adventures. Our Expedition Room If you make it to the very inside of the café, you will find our dispatch room. Here we also organize our coffee tastings.

*Go for a coffee tasting with Zoéga's coffee - a unique experience! * We offer coffee tastings where you can come and taste and learn more about Zoéga's coffee! These are occasions of both taste experiences as well as history and interesting curiosities. Tasting different types of coffee and even slightly different ways of brewing them gives many interesting and new perspectives on this drink that is so loved. Our events are led by trained baristas who are passionate about not only the coffee, but also the whole history, craft and experience. Kom på afterwork quiz i historisk miljö Vi anordnar quizkvällar med olika teman med alltifrån Helsingborghistoria, kaffe, Zoégas och mycket mer. Att medverka på själva quizet i sig är gratis och möjligheten att köpa goda drinkar och fika finns. Vill du äta en måltid anmäler man det i samband med bordsbokningen. Vi rekommenderar er isåfall att komma lite tidigare så ni hinner äta i lugn och ro innan quizet börjar. Bilder inifrån vårt cafe Mellan oktober 2022 till april 2023 genomgick caféet en omfattande renovering och vi tog tillbaka den antika stilen som första delen av butiken bjuder på. Varmt välkomna in till klassiskt musik och låt kaffedoften få leda sig genom caféet. Vårt förrum Här pryds väggarna av en Zoégas utställning med både foton och historiska texter... Olika antika teman... Det finns fyra olika avdelningar i caféet förrummet, finrummet, expeditionsrummet och balkongen. Vårt förrum är grönt med guld detaljer och högt i tak med stuckatur. Caféet inspirerades av... Ifrån den antika originalmålningen som finns i taket i butiksdelen. Målningen blev en perfekt grund att utgå ifrån och färgsätta caféet. Balkongen Med utsikt över butiksdelen och mässingskvarnarna får fyra personer plats att dricka gott kaffe på vår balkong. Expeditionsrummet Är inspirerat av bokenVälkommen till tropikernaskriven av Rudolf Zoéga utgiven år 1960. I boken får man en inblick om kafferesor, expeditioner och äventyr. Vårt expeditionsrum Om du tar dig allra längst in i cafféet så finner du vårt expeditionsrum. Här anordnar vi även våra kaffeprovningar.

About Café 1886

Café i Zoegas historiska butik

Zoégas kaffebutik fanns på Drottninggatan 30 i Helsingborg i över 100 år. Kafferosteriet grundades redan år 1886. Zoégas hade verksamhet här mellan 1901-2022. Vi tog över i juni 2022 och renoverade hela caféet. Med Café 1886 vill vi bevara en kär tradition. Kolla här hur vårt café ser ut numera.

Kom in och smaka Skånerost, Mollbergs blandning eller andra av Zoegas kaffesorter.Här säljer vi även de unika kaffesorterna Kärnan, Fredriksdalsom endast finns att köpa på denna historiska plats!
